Prologue
You lead. You serve. You give until the giving is the only thing left of you.
And the people around you would never guess.
To them, you are the strong one, the faithful one, the woman who holds the room together. You answer the calls. You hold the prayers. You show up when showing up costs you something.
What they cannot see is the quiet that meets you when the serving is done.
The Quiet After
When the Doing Never Lets You Be
The day finally goes still.
The last message answered, the last need met, the cup of tea going cold beside you.
And in that stillness, something you have outrun all day finally catches up.
You are doing everything right. Faithful in your work, your home, your church, your word kept again and again.
A quieter question surfaces underneath all of it:
Am I truly the woman they believe me to be?

The Grief That Waits in the Quiet
Martha is working. Mary is longing.
